Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

I've thinking about this movie a lot recently and I've come to the realization that Tim Burton might have become the new King of movie referencing. Here's a list of the movies I've come up with.

2001: A Space Odyssey(my favorite movie, it was impossible for me to miss it)

That's all I can think of for right now. You can notice that Tim Burton basically referenced ALL of his movies. Nine of the references are from his movies. If you want to know more specifically about a certain reference, just ask. Also, if you know of any I've missed, let me know.

Lol Tim that's hilarious. You are undisputeably a movie guru to know all this. I have yet to see Charlie, but I heard it has a Harry Potter trailer, so I'm doubly excited!

Well, I have to be honest. I only came up with about 75-80% of them. I found out about the rest online. You definitely need to go see it. It's a great movie. I'd say that it's better than the 1971 version. Unfortunately though, I don't feel like they set it up for a sequel known as Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator. I was hoping they would.

Better than the 1971 version? wow that's a pretty steep statement! I still haven't seen it yet, and I'm looking forward to doing so, but I have my doubts that anything can top Gene Wilder.
